[ARCHIVED] Douglas County Firefighters respond to Serious Accident

Douglas County Firefighters and EMS personnel are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident on Dorris Road near High Point & Cedar Mountain Rds. in Douglasville, Ga. where a motorcycle is involved.  E-911 dispatchers received a call around 9:17 a.m. for a motorcycle vs. black Hyndai.  

 

“Emergency personnel has requested a medevac helicopter which has taken one person to the hospital,” Rick Martin, Douglas County spokesman said. “It’s unclear at this time if anyone else is hurt.”   

 

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has deputies on the scene of the accident and there’s no word how long the road will be closed.  Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes at this time.
