BOC proposes to Maintain the Current Millage Rate Level

The Douglas County BOC proposes to maintain the property tax millage rate at the same current level. As property values increase, it will result in higher taxes as a result of the increase in property values. 

The public is invited to attend hearings on the millage rate at Citizens Hall at the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, GA 30134 at a Special Called Meeting on August 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. and at the regular scheduled BOC legislative meeting on August 16, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. and a Special Called BOC Meeting on August 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.

 

The BOC will vote on a millage rate at the Special Called meeting on August 25, 2022, following the public hearing at 10:00 a.m. BOC meeting. Citizens may register with the County Clerk at (lwatson@co.douglas.ga.us) or by voicemail (770-920-7416) for public comment.
